Exploring the Future of Pension Finance and the Dynamics of Institutional Pension Reform

The objective of this conference is to bring together academic researchers, practitioners, supervisors and public-sector policymakers to discuss the current state of pension finance and pension reform and to explore its implications for pension funds, supervisors and governments. By facilitating this dialog, we hope this conference will provide guidance for future decision-making and stimulate the development of best practices.

Overview

This conference will investigate the potential for pension funds, governments and supervisors to improve the efficiency and resilience of pension systems. Participation of this conference is by invitation only.

Program

We have organized the conference into four sessions. Session I on Thurday examines recent developments in pension finance and actuarial science. Session II covers institutional design of the pension system. Session III on Friday addresses international dynamics in pension governance, supervision and risk sharing. Session IV discusses the future direction of pension reform.
